MTA WA Training Inc. (RTO 0627)
Learners develop the principles underpinning the operation of vehicle systems and subsystems. They learn to carry out servicing operations, inspection and servicing of engines, cooling systems, batteries, manual transmissions, drivelines, steering, suspension and braking systems. Learners develop safe working practices and environmental awareness when developing solutions to planning and managing automotive vehicle systems.
The qualification is delivered in a full-time Pre-Apprenticeship course for approximately 20 weeks.
The weekly schedule consists of 3 days training and 2 days of work placement with a host employer, organised by MTA WA Training. This schedule gives the employer a chance to consider them for an apprenticeship. To successfully complete the Pre-Apprenticeship all participants are required to complete a minimum of 150 hours of work placement, which must be completed within the course duration.
