Did you know that the MTA WA employs apprentices? In fact, we currently employ over 320 of them!
Training, employing and placing the next generation of automotive professionals is amongst the most important work that the MTA WA undertakes, particularly during these times of unprecedented demand for automotive services.
Our Apprentice Employment Services department is the only Group Training Organistion in WA dedicated to employing automotive apprentices. We take care to place our apprentices with reputable host businesses to ensure a smooth learning journey.
Gaining both hands on and classroom experience, MTA WA apprentices can benefit from:
- Ongoing 1:1 support and mentoring from Field Officers with extensive automotive experience, both on and off the tools;
- Options to complete industry-leading training through the MTA WA's Automotive Institute of Technology (0627);
- Support finding host businesses that are a good fit and that provide relevant on-the-job training;
- Regular workplace visits;
- Assistance navigating workplace challenges and conflicts; and much more.
