What a night! 2023 Capricorn MTA WA Automotive Awards wrap up
Congratulations to the finalists and winners of the 2023 Capricorn MTA WA Automotive Awards and thank you to all of our guests who attended the event, encouraging and supporting our hard-working industry.
The evening was a success! High profile personality Shane Jacobson appeared as a special guest for a crowd of 400 notable automotive industry figures, MTA WA members and awards finalists. Latest technologies were proudly on display, showcased through leading-class vehicles like the all-electric BYD Atto 3 and the hydrogen fuel celled Toyota Mirai.
Sharing the room’s passion for all things motoring, Shane was not shy about listing off the models in his impressive car collection. From the 1964 EH Holden, to his current project building a late model commodore race car – and there was no shortage of exciting stories to fuel his conversation. The audience was treated to stories spanning from motorcycle stunts with Robbie Maddison in Vegas, to road trips with Paul Hogan and the fact that in Shane's opinion - Jeremy Clarkson is actually a top bloke.
Guests shared in what was a delightful evening, further privileged to witness some of the touching responses from unsuspecting finalists, who were moved by the surprise announcement that they'd be taking home the winning award for their respective category.
MTA WA Group CEO Stephen Moir opened the evening extending his congratulations to the finalists. “Your dedication and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and tonight is a celebration of your hard work and accomplishments.” Mr. Moir said that the MTA WA had witnessed an exceptional lineup of businesses and individuals from all sectors of our industry, competing for the much-coveted recognition that come with the MTA WA Automotive Awards.
