Trial of Priority Queue for Online Dealers
Published 13rd July 2021 - Department of Transport
From 1 July 2021, the Department of Transport (DoT) initiated a three month trial for a Dealer priority queue in all metropolitan Driver and Vehicle Service centres.
Process
The trial will run from 1 July 2021 until close of business, Thursday 30 September 2021.
The times for the priority queue will be from 8.30 am - 11.30 am Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Dealers should choose the dealer option from the NEXA ticket machine when attending a centre and between these times you will be prioritised for service by the next available and skilled operator.
If you are a Dealer Online member, you should continue to complete all transactions using that system and only attend a centre for the following services:
• Acquisitions where the owner order is incorrect
• Collection of plates
• Returned plates
• Letterhead receipts collection
• Lost Plates - plate penalties
• Inspected vehicles (updating MR).
Dealers who are not part of the online dealer scheme will benefit from an improved service as you will be prioritised during these times for all transactions when selecting the dealer option.
