Changes to Department of Transport’s Vehicle Examination Centre
 

The Department of Transport (DoT) Vehicle Examination Centre located at 21 Murray Road South, Welshpool closed for general inspections in March 2018, since then only customers directly invited or required by DoT to attend have been able to bring their vehicles to Welshpool for inspection.

As of the 8th of February 2019 the Welshpool site will be closing its doors for all services and will be relocating to our upgraded Kelmscott location. As of Monday 11th of February 2019, all customers directly invited by DoT for a vehicle inspection will now attend Kelmscott.

The new address for their Vehicle Examination Centre is:

Please be ensured their friendly, expert staff will continue to provide the same excellent service to customers requiring inspection of their high risk, highly modified or oversized vehicles at the new Kelmscott site. The booking process for examinations will remain unchanged.
